How To Become an MRI Technologist
MRI technologists typically need an associate's degree as a fundamental requirement for their career. While some MRI technologists may start their profession as radiologic technologists before specializing, licensure or certification is not universally required for MRI technologists in most states. However, regardless of state regulations, employers usually prioritize hiring certified MRI technologists, making certification a valuable asset for professionals in this field.
Med College prepares graduates for state and national licensing. Most states require MRI technologists to be licensed or certified. Regardless of state requirements, employers typically require or prefer to hire technologists who are certified.
Accreditation and License
Med College's Associate of Science in MRI Technology Program holds several notable accreditations and recognitions. It has been licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE), accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), and is duly recognized by The American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
